Sith

The Sith Order was a sect of Force-sensitives who utilized the dark side of the Force.

The cornerstone of a Sith’s power was emotion. While the Jedi taught that fear, anger, and pain were negative emotions to be overcome, the Sith believed that these strong emotions were natural, and aided individuals in their survival. By harnessing their emotions rather than suppressing them, the Sith believed they could achieve true power.

At sometime during the the Clone Wars, the Confederacy of Independent Systems constructed a droid factory inside a lava lake deep within the mountain. It remained a closely guarded secret, hidden and for an unknown reason unused until after the end of the Clone Wars, when Gizor Dellso, a Geonosian leader traveled to the planet to meet up with the rest of the Separatist leaders.

Toward the end of the Clone Wars, it served as the headquarters of the Separatist Council. The Council members were slain there at the hand of Darth Vader.

Polis Massa

Polis Massa was once an arid, habitable, barren planetoid and originally the homeworld of the origin of the little-known Eellayin civilization, who dwelt in underground cities such as Wiyentaah. Polis Massa was later struck by a mysterious cataclysm. This natural disaster destroyed the planet and formed a field of asteroids which remained known as Polis Massa, especially the largest of them. The Eellayin civilization disappeared.

The gravitational pull on the rocky colony was just strong enough to be harmful to those who walked the surface without the proper equipment or protection. However, the facilities built on the asteroids were especially gravity-controlled inside and so suitable for living in.

Lava Flea

Lava fleas were large, 4-meter tall arthropods native to Mustafar, commonly mounted by the native Mustafarians. Its proper name is unpronounceable by non-Mustafarians.

The lava fleas were of considerable benefit to the Mustafarians who were distrustful of more advanced technology in the galaxy. The creatures were easily domesticated and were used for transport with their agility, particularly jumping ability, highly valued. Even when the Techno Union arrived on Mustafar with modern marvels such as repulsorlift travel, most Mustafarians still preferred to travel by lava fleas.

Mustafar

Mustafar was a small planet located in the Mustafar system of the Outer Rim Territories, coreward of Rutan, between the Hydian Way and the Ninth Quadrant.

Once a lush green world, Mustafar was home to a Jedi Enclave built around 5,300 BBY. Jedi Master Chu-Gon Dar, an individual whose mastery of physical Force was unmatched, also lived there…In 3,996 BBY, the resurgent Sith wished to exterminate the Jedi, and so a climactic battle took place on the planet. This battle was so intense that one of the nearby gas giants was pulled into its current location by the Force, starting the gravitational tug-of-war. The environmental hazards caused by this forced the Jedi to abandon their temples on the planet.

Declaration of a New Order

The Declaration of a New Order was a proclamation made by Supreme Chancellor Palpatine in 19 BBY, first as an address to an Extraordinary Session of the Galactic Senate and then to the general populace. In it, he proclaimed himself Emperor of the galaxy, legalized the extermination of the Jedi Order, and outlined his vision of transforming the thenceforth-abolished Galactic Republic into his new Galactic Empire.

Oro Dassyne

Oro Dassyne was a male Koorivar who worked for the Corporate Alliance and served as a general in the Clone Wars on the side of the Confederacy of Independent Systems.

While Dassyne initially relied on strategy rather than brute force, he later changed his style once he was stationed on Bomis Koori IV, and began to depend solely on firepower rather than tactics. He also felt that his stronghold on Bomis Koori IV could not be conquered by less than one hundred Jedi. However, he was proven wrong when a mere two Jedi forced their way into the bulwark and deactivated the shields. Dassyne paid for his overconfidence with his life.

Operation: Knightfall

Operation: Knightfall, which took place in 19 BBY immediately before the end of the Clone Wars, was one of the first conflicts of the Great Jedi Purge. This massacre, as well as the mandate given to the clones instructing them to kill their Jedi officers in the field, marked the beginning of a galaxy-wide hunt for the Jedi. Most of the Jedi inside the Temple were executed by the invaders while the Temple burned, and within minutes of the Purge’s inception, much of the Jedi Order was wiped out.

The entire affair was taped and recorded from afar by numerous outsiders, and the burning Temple was flashed across the HoloNet constantly. Such coverage continued into the days following Operation: Knightfall. These broadcasts, however, were vague, not relating any explanations while spouting speculation as to the statuses of various facets of the Order, leading to much confusion and rampant misinformation.

During the time of the Clone Wars, the ship was the consular vessel of Alderaan’s Senator in the Galactic Republic, Bail Organa.

In 186 BBY, Rancisis’ sister was killed by terrorists, and he was offered the throne; he declined, instead preferring to continue on the path of the Jedi.

Rancisis was conservative, more so than most of the other Councilors of his time, and he was strongly opposed to overlooking ancient traditions laid down by the Jedi of old. While many members of the Jedi Council were content to forgo the proper trials and promote Anakin Skywalker to Knighthood early, Rancisis was strongly opposed to it, as well as to a number of other concessions afforded to Kenobi’s Padawan.

While studying at the Temple academy, a seven year old Jukassa began to receive visions of his parents’ brutal murder on his homeworld. Unaware of his heritage per Order policy, Jukassa’s plight reached the ears of the Jedi investigating the murders, Jedi Knight Mierme Unill. With the permission of the Jedi High Council, Unill and Chief Librarian Jocasta Nu related the facts of the murders to Jukassa in hopes that he could ease the boy’s suffering, and discover clues to the murderer’s identity.

Unill’s intuition proved correct in this case, leading him to uncover ties to Black Sun in his investigation thanks to Jukassa’s assistance. Following the arrests, Unill was so impressed with Jukassa’s maturity and strength that he selected him to be his Padawan apprentice.

Horax

Horaxes were massive, fifteen-meter-tall, horned creatures from Nelvaan.

There were very few horax on the planet, due to the severely cold weather, combined with the horax’s territorial nature. Each year, the local Nelvaanians would send young males to take a scale from a sleeping horax’s tail as a rite of passage into becoming a man. These scales were used to make a special elixir that the Nelvaanians discovered could be used to repel horaxes with its pungent odor.

CC-1119

CC-1119 was a clone commander who served in the Grand Army of the Republic’s 501st Legion. During the Clone Wars, CC-1119 received training from the ARC trooper Alpha-17, where he was given the name “Appo.”

In his service to the Empire, Appo had an easy relationship with his superior Darth Vader. Though the black armor that Vader covered himself in often inspired fear in others, to Appo it was only natural that Vader should protect himself from harm. Vader, in turn, felt more at ease around Appo and his soldiers, and after the Commander’s death even expressed a certain fondness for the man.

Vader kept Appo at his side much of the time, sometimes asking for the Commander’s analysis of military matters. The two could communicate with each other wordlessly, Appo easily understanding and carrying out Vader’s commands that consisted of a simple nod of the head or gesture of the hand.
